Imran Ali is a seasoned lawyer practicing in New Delhi, with memberships in both the Bar Council of Delhi and the Bar Council of India. His legal expertise spans Criminal Law, Family Law, Writs, Media Law, and Human Rights Law, with a particular focus on criminal trials. He has appeared regularly before the Supreme Court of India and various High Courts across the country.

Advocate Ali is committed to advancing social and human rights issues, serving as a legal advisor to multiple NGOs. He was a member of the Tihar Jail Visiting Panel, appointed by the National Commission for Protection of Children under the direction of the Delhi High Court. His contributions to child rights advocacy include drafting a compendium on Media Reporting on Children for the Delhi Commission for Protection of Child Rights. He has also been part of the Indian coalition of NGOs that received the “Juvenile Justice without Borders” International Award (2014), presented by the International Juvenile Justice Observatory (IJJO), Belgium.

Prior to his legal career, Advocate Ali was associated with national media outlets and has taught at prestigious institutions such as AJKMCRC, Jamia Millia Islamia, and GGSIP University, New Delhi. His work in media and human rights is further reflected in the documentary films he has produced and directed on various social, political, and legal issues.
